The Design System was developed to bring consistency, scalability, and efficiency to the fintech company’s digital ecosystem. By standardizing components, defining clear foundations, and creating responsive variants for mobile and desktop, the system became a single source of truth for all future products. It streamlined workflows, reduced design debt, strengthened brand identity, and ensured a cohesive, accessible user experience across the Customer Portal and upcoming digital assets.

/ THe problem

The existing portal lacked visual consistency, reusable components, and scalability. Each new feature required redesigning from scratch, causing inefficiency and inconsistent user experiences. With upcoming digital products and mobile-first goals, there was a strong need for a unified design foundation that ensured consistency, accessibility, and faster development — aligning all future assets under one cohesive system.

/ The Challenge

I conducted a complete UI audit, identified inconsistencies, and defined design foundations — colors, typography, grids, and spacing. Reusable components were built with responsive variants for desktop and mobile. I documented usage rules, naming conventions, and interaction states in Figma, collaborating closely with developers to ensure feasibility, scalability, and alignment between design and code for long-term sustainability.

The system streamlined design-to-development handoffs, improved efficiency, and provided a strong foundation for future features — empowering faster builds, seamless collaboration, and a consistent brand experience across all fintech touchpoints.
